We are thrilled that Chris Crutcher has managed to fit us into his very busy schedule to keynote TeenBookCon and appear on the "Making the Best of It" panel throughout the day. Because he has to fly to Brazil on Saturday night, Chris will not be able to sign books at the end of the day.  He has graciously agreed to sign books during lunch.

Sharon Draper For thiry years, Sharon Draper was an English Teacher in the Ohio public school system. In 1994, she released her first book, Ziggy and the Black Dinosaur. Panic is her latest novel for teens.	Sharon will be our closing speaker!
Lenore Appelhans Lenore has visited nearly 60 countries and has stepped on every contintent except Antartica. Her travels inspire her writing. She is the author of the Memory Chronicles. Level 2 is the first book in that series.
Leigh Bardugo Leigh Bardugo was born in Jerusalem, grew up in Los Angeles, and graduated from Yale University. Shadow and Bone is her first book for teens. The sequel Seige and Storm will come out this summer.
Kate Brian Kate writes books for teens about cheerleaders, geeks, players, outcasts, queen bees and serial killers. You know, the usual stuff. Kate lives in New Jersey. She also writes as Kieran Scott. Shadowlands is her most recent novel.
Jessica Brody After graduating from Smith College, Jessica worked for MGM Studios. In May of 2005, Jessica quit her job to follow her dream of becoming a published author. She has written several books for teens. Unremembered is her latest novel.
Jen Calonita When Jen, self-professed entertainment junkie, is not working, she can be found doing one of three things: scrapbooking, watching Glee, or going to the movies. Jen lives in New York with her husband Mike, their sons, and their dog, Captain Jack Sparrow. The Grass is Always Greener is her latest novel.
Justina Chen When she’s not writing, Justina Chen is a communications strategista, crafting speeches for executives in entertainment, and technology, including Xbox and Halo: Reach. Return to Me is her latest book.
Tera Lynn Childs Tera was born in Minnesota but has lived all over the United States (and even in Canada for a while). Tera  spends her time writing wherever she can find a comfy chair and a steady stream of caffeinated beverages. Sweet Shadows is her newest novel.
Cinda Williams Chima Cinda Williams Chima grew up with talking animals and kick-butt Barbies. She began writing poetry and stories in third grade, and novels in junior high school. She lives in Ohio with her family, and is always working on her next novel. The Crimson Crown is her latest book.
Bethany Frenette Bethany is a keeper of small cats, a fan of all things geeky, and a lover of the absurd. She was born and raised in the great snowy north of Minnesota, from which she has never yet managed to escape. Dark Star is her debut novel.
Claudia Gray Before working as a full-time novelist, Claudia Gray worked as a lawyer, a DJ, a journalist and a waitress (a terrible one, by her reckoning). Well known for the Evernight series, her latest book is Spellcaster.
Kay Honeyman Kay grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Baylor University. She watches too much reality TV and watches too few movies. She loves maps in theory, but not in practice. Fire Horse Girl is her first novel.
A. G. Howard When she's not writing, A.G. Howard likes to read, rollerblade, garden and go on family vacations that often include side trips to 18th century graveyards or condemned schoolhouses. Splintered is her first novel.
Stacey Jay Stacey Jay is a recovering workaholic with two small children and a passion for playing pretend for a living. Prior to her writing career, she has been a theater performer, professional dancer, bartender and math tutor. Romeo Redeemed is her latest novel for teens.
Alaya Dawn Johnson Alaya (rhymes with “papaya”) lives, writes, cooks and (perhaps most importantly) eats in New York City. Her literary loves are all forms of speculative fiction, historical fiction, and the occasional highbrow novel. The Summer Prince is her young adult debut.
Maureen Johnson Maureen Johnson was born in Pennsylvania during a massive snowstorm. She has worked in a haunted house themed restaurant and was a fake employee for a company to make it look like more people worked there. The Madness Underneath is her latest novel for teens.
Sophie Jordan Sophie Jordan spent some time in law school but decided it was not nearly as interesting as literature. She lives in Houston, Texas with her family and loves to hear from her readers. Hidden is her latest book for teens.
Stacey Kade Stacey has long been fascinated by what happens when "ordinary" bumps up against "out of this world." She and her husband live with their retired greyhounds in Chicago. Body & Soul is the latest in the Ghost and the Goth series. The Rules releases in April.
Dan Krokos Dan pumped gas for nine years to put himself through college. When he is not writing, you can find him watching TV, playing MMORPGs, and drinking coffee. False Memory is his debut novel for teens.
Mary Lindsey Mary has taught drama and playwriting in a large public high school and English in a private school. She lives in Houston, Texas with her husband, three kids, two dogs, pet rats, an Australian Bearded Dragon and dozens of Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. Shattered Souls is her first novel for teens.
Barry Lyga After graduating from Yale, Barry worked in the comic book industry for 10 years before he began his writing career. He lives in New York City where his comics collection is smaller but still way too big. Game is the sequel to I Hunt Killers.
Lisa McMann Lisa was born in Holland, Michigan but has since moved to Arizona to live with the snowbirds (and her husband and two kids). When she's not writing, she might be cooking, swimming, reading or hanging out with her family. Crash is the first book in her new Visions series.
Amy McNamara Amy has a BA in French Lit and an MFA in poetry. When she’s not reading stories, telling stories, or thinking about stories or poems, she can be spotted, camera in hand, for pay and for pleasure, documenting the New York City, where she lives with her honey and their two kids. Lovely, Dark and Deep is her debut novel.
Shannon Messenger Shannon graduated from USC's School of Cinematic Arts where she learned--among other things--that she liked watching movies much better than making them. She also regularly eats cupcakes for breakfast and occasionally gets caught talking to imaginary people. She lives in Southern California with her husband and quite a few cats. Let the Sky Fall is her latest novel.
Lauren Morrill Lauren grew up in Maryville, TN, graduated from Indiana University with a degree in history that she's still not sure what to do with. She's been everything from a cashier to a balloon-animal maker and facepainting clown prior to becoming an Author with a capital A. Meant to Be is her debut novel.
Jennifer Nielsen Jennifer was born and raised in northern Utah, where she still lives with her husband, three children, and their dog. She loves chocolate, old books, and lazy days in the mountains. The Runaway King is book two in the Ascendance trilogy.
Caragh O'Brien Since earning an MA in writing seminars at Johns Hopkins University, Caragh has published a number of romance novels for adults. She recently quit teaching high school English in Connecticut to write full time. Her latest novel for young adults is Promised.
Mary E. Pearson Mary is the award-winning author of The Jenna Fox Chronicles, The Miles Between, A Room on Lorelei, and Scribbler of Dreams.  She writes full-time from her home office in California where she lives with her husband and two golden retrievers. Fox Forever is her latest novel.
Morgan Rhodes In addition to writing, Morgan enjoys photography, travel, reality TV, and is an extremely picky, yet voracious reader of all kinds of books. She lives in Southern Ontario, Canada. Falling Kingdoms is her first high fantasy novel.
Jennifer E. Smith Jennifer E. Smith grew up outside of Chicago and graduated from Colgate University. She earned her master's degree in creative writing from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and currently lives and works in New York City. This is What Happy Looks Like is her latest novel for teens.
Tamara Ireland Stone Tamara grew up in northern California. In addition to writing, Tamara co-owns a Silicon Valley marketing communications firm and enjoys skiing, hiking, and spending time with her husband and two kids. She lives near San Francisco. Time Between Us is her debut novel.
Francisco X. Stork Francisco attended graduate school at Harvard University and went to Columbia Law School, planning to make a living as a lawyer while writing fiction. Twenty years, and twelve or so legal jobs later, he published his first novel for adults, The Way of the Jaguar. He now works in Boston as an attorney for a state agency that develops affordable housing. He is married and has two adult children. Irises is his latest novel.
Robin Wasserman Robin grew up in suburban Philadelphia and graduated from Harvard University and UCLA. Before she was an author she was an associate editor at a children's book publisher. She lives in Brooklyn, New York. The Book of Blood and Shadow is her latest novel.

Faith Erin Hicks Faith was homeschooled in Ontario with her three brothers. After twenty years of suffering through Ontario’s obscenely hot summers, she migrated east, and now lives beside the other ocean in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She wrote and illustrated Friends With Boys, a coming of age story with supernatural elements and a musical about zombies.
Mark Nasso Mark is a Houston-based artist specializing in sci-fi and fantasy illustration. The first four volumes of his series The Land of the Rats has recently been released as a collected edition.*
MK Reed MK is a cartoonist born in East Orange, New Jersey currently living in Brooklyn, New York. She is a contributor to The Beat and Publisher's Weekly. She is an old hand at the self publishing scene but her graphic novel Americus drawn by Jonathan Hill, is her first go-round wtih a big publisher.
Bruce Small Bruce Small studied at the Art Institute of Houston. He is the co-owner of Brass Comics. BioRhythm is a gritty, pseudo sci-fi/action story co-written by Bruce Small and Zach Q.*
